We are looking for a Creative Specialist to work as part of a small friendly marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for all creative design and artwork across three businesses – working both in print and online.

This position is responsible for creating visual solutions to communications pieces with a consistent brand image, logo design and placement. This position supports the development of all written and digital marketing materials that require design elements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the marketing team to actively coordinate the development and approval of corporate, customer-specific, and client-specific communication design (including print, digital media, and direct mail)
  • Assists with the design piece of marketing and promotional activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
  • Determines size, arrangement, style, and type of images necessary for requested materials
  • Designs and develops written materials for publication, including postcards, flyers, brochures, newsletters, annual reports and other documents or digital representations
  • Develops material for company websites, web portals, etc.
  • Liaison between the business and Print Manager for design only materials to ensure materials print in accordance with brand standards

Key Competencies

  • Technical knowledge of printing hardware as well as graphics design software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
  • Exceptional Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator skills
  • Proficient in Photoshop
  • Excellent and creative written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have an eye for detail and must be able to proof read work that is produced
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Retail experience preferred but not essential
