Will my existing conservatory be strong enough to hold a solid roof?
Solid roofs do not greatly differ in weight to a traditional conservatory roof and therefore nine out of ten window frames are suitable to carry the weight.
At point of order, our technical surveyor will visit your home to ensure that your existing frames are suitable.

Do your products come with any guarantee?
SolarFrame offer a minimum of a 10 year guarantee on all products. SolarFrame replacement roofs are engineered and manufactured to exacting standards and carry a guarantee of 10 years from date of installation.
How long does it take to build a conservatory?
This depends on various factors as all conservatories from SolarFrame are bespoke and made to each customer’s specifications.
Once you receive a quote from one of our designers, we will provide you with an estimated date for installation and can give you an idea of the duration.
How long will it take to install a solid tiled roof?
Typically, it would take 3 days to install a solid tiled roof for a standard sized 4×4 Edwardian conservatory. We pride ourselves on offering the assurance of having the old roof removed and new roof installed within one day, weather depending. Following the installation, the electrician and plasterer would need to visit to complete the job.

What will happen to my old conservatory roof and window frames
We will, of course, take your old roof and frames away for you we will make sure that they are disposed of in the most environmentally friendly manner, including recycling where possible.

Where are your products manufactured?
All of the SolarFrame product range is manufactured in our onsite factory in Goldthorpe, Rotherham. SolarFrame are Yorkshire’s exclusive manufacturer of the SolarFrame Solid Tiled Roof System.
Will I need building regulations to have a solid roof installed?
Yes, and SolarFrame will take care of all Building Regulations for you. We ensure that a building regulations certificate is provided with every solid roof installed.
Will I need planning permission for a new conservatory?
You may need planning permission for your new conservatory, but don’t worry, our trained SolarFrame staff can manage the whole process on your behalf. Find out more.
