How We’re Moving Forwards Post-Lockdown

Dear customers,

I’m sure you will all agree 2020 has been a year that none of us could have ever predicted and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak. We’d also like to thank our customers for their ongoing patience throughout these unprecedented times.

To comply with the Government imposed lockdown, SolarFrame with the rest of the country, closed our facilities on the 23rd March. As you can imagine, lockdown meant that no tools were lifted for 2 months, no windows fitted or conservatory roofs replaced!

As much as full lockdown may seem somewhat of a distant memory, we still have to be mindful that we are still part of a pandemic and we wanted to share a bit about our current situation and how we’re moving forwards.

Our sales team and installations coordinators are now working hard to catch up on all the orders and installations from before this period, along with accommodating new orders.

We’re proud to say that everything that goes into a Solarframe product is manufactured in the UK, from Nottingham to Manchester, Birmingham to London.

These well-respected UK suppliers, are also responsible employers and have implemented strict social distancing within their facilities. This means they aren’t yet manufacturing at full capacity which, combined with unprecedented demand means that things are all moving along a little slower.

This supply chain can also be potentially be interrupted by local lockdowns. For example, our plaster supply was temporarily reduced, when these restrictions were implemented in Leicester.

Within our own factory, strict social distancing is in place, so combined with a slower supply chain, it all means that we aren’t quite back up to full capacity yet. But rest assured, we are working harder than ever, whilst maintaining the high quality that you associate with a Solarframe product.

We hope that gives you an insight into how things are for us at the moment, we understand it’s also a frustrating time for you if you’re waiting for an installation to be completed.
