With thousands of home improvement companies around the country, it’s important to realise the quality can vary greatly. It’s important to ensure you are dealing with someone who’s quality standards are endorsed and approved. In addition, it’s important that all products are certified to stand up to security standards, British standard requirements and have been made to exacting standards demanded by the glazing industry.

Which? Trusted Trader

The Which? Trusted Trader logo is is a sign of reputation and trust. It helps consumers choose the right trader for them and give good traders the recognition they deserve.

Home Improvement Protection

The Home Improvement scheme provides deposit protection and guarantee insurance. This ensures your home improvement investment is protected at all levels.

Fensa

Only FENSA Approved Installers can issue a FENSA certificate. It’s proof your installation complies with Building Regulations, is registered with the local council and is backed by guarantee insurance.

Secured by Design

For a product to be Secured by Design, it must be capable of deterring or preventing crime – meeting the ‘Police Preferred Specification’.

Police Preferred Specification ensures that products have been independently tested to a relevant security standard.

PAS 24:2016

PAS 24 is a set of tests designed to assess the security of doors and windows against the effects of an opportunistic burglar.

It assures you, that you are purchasing windows and doors monitored by a UKAS accredited certification body to ensure compliance.

BS 6375 Parts 1, 2 & 3

This British Standards accreditation ensure windows and doors meet the ‘fit for purpose’ standards for operation and strength characteristics along with weather tightness.

It is also a requirement to meet these standards as part of PAS24:2016.

BFRC

The British Fenestration Rating Council is the UK’s most trusted rating council for verifying the energy performance of windows and doors.

Our windows are A rated as standard for energy efficiency and this is certified by the BFRC as a rainbow label, similar to that on white goods.

BS 14351

This is the European standard that identifies material independent performance characteristics – applicable to windows and doors.

This standard is a requirement for CE marking.

CE Marking

From July 2013 is became mandatory for all construction products to be CE marked – a requirements that is part of the Contruction Products Regulations 2011.

The aim is to harmonise compliance with European standard EN 14351-1 across the EU.
