What will happen to my old conservatory roof and window frames?

We will, of course, take your old roof and frames away for you we will make sure that they are disposed of in the most environmentally friendly manner, including recycling where possible.

How long will it take to replace my conservatory roof?

Typically, it would take 3 days to install a solid tiled roof for a standard sized 4×4 Edwardian conservatory. We pride ourselves on offering the assurance of having the old roof removed and new roof installed within one day, weather depending. Following the installation, the electrician and plasterer would need to visit to complete the job.

Will my existing conservatory be strong enough to hold a solid roof?

Solid roofs do not greatly differ in weight to a traditional conservatory roof and therefore nine out of ten window frames are suitable to carry the weight.

At point of order, our technical surveyor will visit your home to ensure that your existing frames are suitable.

How much does it cost to replace my conservatory roof?

As all of our conservatory roof replacements are bespoke to suit your home, there are no standardised costs. When our expert design consultant visits your home they will provide you with a free, no-obligation quote for your conservatory roof.

Do I need planning permission to replace my conservatory roof?

In most cases no, providing that your roof replacement meets certain measures, swapping out your existing conservatory’s existing glass or polycarbonate roof for a tiled roof replacement can be done without needing to file for planning permission. However, you will need to notify Building Control, which we will take care for you, along with any planning permission if needed.

We ensure that a building regulations certificate is provided with every solid roof installed. Once you receive your Building Control certification your conservatory will now be classed as an official extension, which will increase the value of your home.

What guarantee is available with a solid tiled roof?
