Is composite door better than uPVC door?
Both composite and UPVC doors are versatile and can be designed to suit your home. However composite doors are more robust and hardwearing, and will not fade over time.
Composite doors are also incredibly secure. All SolarFrame Composite Doors are PAS24 and Secured By Design approved, meaning that they meet the 'Police Preferred Specification' of deterring or preventing crime. All of our composite doors come fitted with a three star diamond grade lock which is anti snap, anti bump and anti drill.
Due to the thickness of a composite door, they are much more energy efficient than a UPVC door, they help to keep the heat where it belongs, inside your home.
What warranty do I receive with my composite door?
SolarFrame composite doors are guaranteed for 10 years against blistering, cracks, chips or flaking and peeling of the colour. The glazing is also guaranteed against hermetic seal failure.
All of the hardware is guaranteed for five years against manufacturing faults.
Does a composite door need much maintenance?
Composite doors require little to no maintenance when compared to the likes of traditional timber doors. Composite doors are not prone to fading, warping or cracking and don't need to be repainted.
