A Beautiful, Light-Filled Home Extension for Mr & Mrs Deavin in Barnsley
When Mr and Mrs Deavin decided they wanted to create more space in their Barnsley home, they began looking for a local company they could trust to bring their ideas to life.
Their journey with SolarFrame started when one of our leaflets arrived through their door. Keen to find out more, they visited our Rotherham showroom, where they were able to see the quality of our products and workmanship for themselves.
Impressed by what they saw, Mr and Mrs Deavin booked a Design Consultation with our New Build Specialist, Tom.
Designing the Perfect Space
During the consultation, Tom took the time to understand how Mr and Mrs Deavin wanted to use their new extension and what was most important to them.
Together, they developed a design for a stylish lean-to extension that would provide valuable additional living space while complementing the existing property.
A key part of the design was maximising natural light. Glazed panels were incorporated into the roof, allowing daylight to flood into the extension and helping to create a bright, welcoming space throughout the day.
Bringing the Home and Garden Together
To complete the look, Mr and Mrs Deavin chose anthracite grey uPVC sliding patio doors. The contemporary grey finish provides a striking contrast and gives the extension a modern appearance, while the large glazed doors allow even more natural light into the room.
Most importantly, the sliding doors help connect the new living space with the garden, opening up the rear of the property and creating an effortless transition between indoors and outdoors.
The Finished Extension
The completed lean-to extension has transformed the way Mr and Mrs Deavin can enjoy their home. With generous glazing, roof panels that maximise daylight and stylish anthracite grey sliding doors leading out to the garden, the new space feels bright, spacious and contemporary.
From receiving a SolarFrame leaflet to visiting our showsite and working with Tom to create their ideal design, Mr and Mrs Deavin’s project is a great example of how the right extension can add both space and style to a home.
