Mr and Mrs Snowden wanted to give their existing conservatory a fresh, contemporary look. With ageing white uPVC frames and a traditional polycarbonate roof, the conservatory was beginning to feel dated and no longer complemented the rest of their home.
Their journey with SolarFrame began when one of our leaflets arrived through their door. Interested in seeing what could be achieved, the couple decided to visit our showroom, where they could explore our full-sized displays, compare colours and finishes and see the quality of our products for themselves.
From Showroom Inspiration to a Bespoke Design
During their visit, Mr and Mrs Snowden booked a design consultation with SolarFrame Design Consultant Steve.
Steve talked them through the different options available and helped them create a design that would completely transform the appearance of their existing conservatory while sitting beautifully alongside their home.
Rather than simply replacing the old polycarbonate roof, the Snowdens chose to give the whole conservatory a makeover by upgrading the existing white uPVC frames at the same time.
A Contemporary New Look
For the roof, Mr and Mrs Snowden selected Titanium Grey shingle tiles, giving the conservatory the appearance of a more permanent extension and creating a smart contrast against the brickwork of their home.
To complete the transformation, the old white uPVC frames were replaced with stylish anthracite frames. The darker finish works perfectly alongside the Titanium Grey roof, bringing the entire design together and giving the conservatory a much more modern, considered appearance.
The difference between the before and after is striking. What was previously a traditional white conservatory with a polycarbonate roof has been transformed into a contemporary space that feels far more integrated with the property.
A Conservatory to Enjoy All Year Round
As well as dramatically changing the appearance of a conservatory, SolarFrame's solid tiled roof systems are designed to improve thermal efficiency compared with older polycarbonate roofs, helping create a more comfortable living space throughout the seasons. SolarFrame's current solid roof system can achieve a U-value of 0.15W/m²K.
For Mr and Mrs Snowden, the combination of Titanium Grey shingles and anthracite frames has breathed new life into their conservatory, creating a stylish addition to their home that looks completely different from the room they started with.
