Mr and Mrs Newell from Sheffield wanted to replace their old glass conservatory roof with a solid tiled roof to help maintain the temperature in their conservatory. They were recommended to SolarFrame by a family member, had seen the SolarFrame advert on TV and received leaflets through the post, so decided to give us a call.
Prior to having their solid tiled roof installed, the Newell’s conservatory had a fully glazed roof consisting of eight glass panels, making it unbearable to sit in the conservatory during the warmer months. SolarFrame replaced their glazed roof with a smoked oak shingle solid tiled roof that helps to retain heat in the winter and keep the space cool in summer.
Since transforming their conservatory, the Newells can now enjoy their conservatory again and spend more time taking in the outdoors. Mr Newell said “we are not quite into summer yet but the temperature difference is unbelievable. Prior to having the roof replaced we could not sit in the conservatory and now it is much more comfortable”.
