Autumn is on its way, are you ready?

We can’t quite believe that autumn is just around the corner. It could be timely to start thinking about getting all your home improvement projects underway. But what have you got in mind?

One of the most popular home improvements that we have seen this year has been replacing old plastic conservatory roofs with new solid roofs. Is that something you might consider?

Read on to find out more – and some other ways you can make your home autumn-ready.

Change your old glass or plastic conservatory roof

Have you been too hot in your conservatory this year? Well, it won’t be long before it’s too cold and it’s abandoned for the winter.

That’s such a shame, as conservatories can be used year-round with a solid roof replacement. You may not even have to change its windows, making this a great cost-effective solution to gaining an extra room in your house.

With some great finance offers available, you don’t even need to pay until this time next year.

Spruce up your garden

Patios can make such a difference if you take the time to give them a good clean. If you don’t have a pressure washer, you can rent them – and for the sake of a few hours of hard work it could look almost brand new! If it’s broken or cracked, the next best solution would be to consider a new patio.

Paving has changed tremendously over the years, with so many types and choices available.

Did you know you can buy paving when you make a purchase with SolarFrame and we have an amazing outdoor paving display at our showsite near Rotherham?

Clean out your guttering

It’s not the most exciting of jobs, but those autumnal leaves can cause havoc. As the rain water builds up, blockages can block guttering and cause damp internal walls.

Don’t forget to check your gutter joints are still sealed and your brackets are tight.

Check your windows

If you have old windows, check that the sealant hasn’t deteriorated and causing draughts. Typically, up to 20% of your homes’ heat can be lost through your windows.

SolarFrame manufactures windows for homes right across the country, particularly for homes in Yorkshire. They are A+ rated and extremely secure, which will give you peace of mind for the winter ahead. Why not ask for a quote?
