What is a glass roof lantern?
A glass roof lantern is not exactly what it sounds like. Instead of being an electric light fixture, a glass roof lantern creates a raised ceiling window at the centre of your conservatory. This allows for the room to receive a lot of natural light all day round.
This is a great option for giving your conservatory a spacious, airy atmosphere and will no doubt improve the feel of the room.
Natural light, day or night
Glass roof lanterns are becoming a more popular option for giving a feeling of openness for your conservatory. Instead of bleaching the conservatory with electric lights and tainting the close-to-outdoor feeling that the room is designed for, a glass roof lantern is placed at the centre of your ceiling and protrudes upwards.
This allows for the room to be filled with natural light no matter the position of the sun or moon. The glass roof always has a side facing the way the light is shining.
Due to its design, a glass roof lantern will always be a benefit to your room, no matter the weather or time of year.
